I was hospitalized and incurred high medical care costs. I should be eligible to receive additional benefits from the Health Insurance Association, but three months have passed, and the benefits haven't been paid. When will the benefits be paid?

Ordinarily, high medical care costs and additional benefits are billed by the medical care institution to the Health Insurance Association three months after the month of medical care and calculated and paid automatically when this invoice is received.
If payment still has not been made three months after the month of the medical care, the delay may be for any of the reasons indicated below. Please be patient: Invoices submitted to the Association for medical care costs are handled once a month. Rest assured that high medical care costs and additional benefits will be calculated automatically and paid when the Association receives the bill.

1. The medical care institution is late with its billing procedures.
2. The details of medical care sent from the medical care institution have been returned to the institution due to screening by the Health Insurance Claims Review & Reimbursement Services (HICRRS) connecting the institution with the Association.
3. The details of medical care sent from the medical care institution were returned to the institution due to eligibility issues.
