Insurance will pay funeral expenses in the event of the death of an insured person or dependent. For the burial of a person with no family members or close friends, insurance will pay funeral costs to the person who actually handles the burial and related procedures.

A Family Register may be submitted to confirm the relationship with the insured person.

When requesting payment of funeral costs, attach a receipt showing the cost of burial in addition to the Death Certificate.
In the event of the death of an insured person, his or her dependents will lose their eligibility as dependents and must transfer to another health insurance plan (e.g., National Health Insurance). For this reason, a Certificate of Loss of Eligibility for Health Insurance will be issued.
