When and how is the medical care additional sum for dependents paid? Where can I find payment details?

No action is needed to claim the medical care additional sum for dependents. The Health Insurance Association calculates it automatically based on the medical cost details (rezept) sent from the medical care institution and pays this amount on your payday as an addition to your salary. Payment usually takes place three months after the month in which you received the treatment. For IBM Japan employees, your pay details will indicate the amount of health insurance benefits paid.
