Can I use health insurance to pay for treatments for chronic shoulder or lower back pain due to recurring conditions or aging?

You can use health insurance only for acute or subacute injuries. You cannot use health insurance for shoulder or lower-back pain for which the cause is unclear, so you will need to pay the entire amount of costs for treatment of such conditions yourself. If pain or discomfort continues for prolonged periods, have the symptoms reviewed by a doctor.
