Do my rights to claim benefits expire? (Is there a deadline for submitting insurance claims?)
The deadline for applying to claim benefits from the Health Insurance Association is two years. We encourage you to claim benefits promptly after the cost arises.
Note: The right to claim insurance benefits expires after two years (pursuant to the Health Insurance Act)
Ex.: For overseas medical care costs, two years from the day after the date of payment of medical care costs required for treatment; for the Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Grant, two years from the day after the date of birth
