How much are monthly insurance premiums?

The insurance premium (the total sum of employer's portion plus insured person's portion) is calculated by multiplying the insurance premium rate by your standard monthly remuneration at the time you left employment or by the average (as of September 30 in the previous fiscal year) standard monthly remuneration of all insured persons (530,000 yen in fiscal 2016), whichever is lower.
