What happens to my eligibility when I reach age 75?

Upon reaching age 75 (or 65 if bedridden), both insured persons and dependents lose their eligibility as Special-Case Retired Persons and transition tothe Medical Care System for the Advanced Elderly (longevity medical care system).
When an insured person reaches the age of 75, his or her dependents under age 75 will shift to National Health Insurance.
When a dependent reaches the age of 75 but the insured person is still less than 75 years of age, the dependent will shift to the longevity medical care system.
Explanatory documents will be sent to eligible persons by post in the middle of the month prior to the month in which they will reach age 75.
