I submitted a Special-Case Retired Insured Person Application form in advance to transfer directly from IBM Japan health insurance to the Special-Case Retired Persons Medical Care System. When will I receive my health insurance card?

The steps required to issue the health insurance card begin after the Association is notified by your current employer that you will forfeit your eligibility for your current health insurance card. The new card should arrive at your residence roughly one to two weeks after you retire.
