Can I claim my injury and sickness allowance in one lump sum—for example, when I return to work after an illness?

Injury and sickness allowance is paid as a substitute for your wages while you are not earning any pay from your employer due to your inability to work. This means you can't apply for a lump-sum payment of the allowance for a time already past. You must apply each month after assessing the state of the illness or injury and payment of your wages.
