I was asked to transfer to another hospital for the hospital's own reasons. Are the costs of changing hospitals covered as Transportation Expenses?
The cost of changing hospitals will be covered as Transportation Expenses in cases of emergency and unavoidable transfer to a hospital made necessary by the availability there of the treatment required. Transportation Expenses will not be paid when transferring to a different hospital for the hospital's own reasons, for personal reasons (for example, transferring to a hospital closer to your home), or for subjective reasons.
